Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on the 14th of August 1983. Kunis moved to Los Angeles with her parents Elvira (her parents) and Mark (her older brother), at the age of seven. The Kunis family came to the United States with just 250 dollars. It was a difficult start. Kunis parents had both left their professions to make it easier for their kids. Mark was an engineer who worked in mechanical engineering, swiftly was able to find work as a taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine, ended up running an entomology clinic. Kunis acknowledged that he didn't understand American culture at first. I was not able to grasp the American culture. I did not know the language. The first line of my essay for college admission was "Imagine being deaf and blind at the age of 7". That's exactly what it was like moving to America. But it was not an easy change. Milena Markovna Kunis is the daughter of Mark Kunis (Ukraine) and Elvira (Chenivtsi), Ukraine. She was born on the 14th of August, 1983. Her older brother is also hers. Her mother is an instructor of physics. She also runs an pharmacy. Her father, a mechanical engineer by trade, doubles as driver for taxis. Her family is Jewish. Her family relocated from Israel to Los Angeles when she turned seven. Rosewood Elementary School was her first option. When she was nine years old she started acting lessons. She auditioned for commercials, and made her TV debut in 1994 in her first appearance in Days of Our Lives. In 1998, she was given her first big role as Jackie Burkhart, in the hit sitcom "That 70s show". After receiving praise from the critics, she was cast in the character of Meg Griffin, an animated sitcom.
